HAIR REBONDING
What is HAIR REBONDING?
It is a chemical process done to the hair breaking the bond of the hair shaft and re-bonding it again to change the shape of the bond of the hair shaft therefore changing the state of the hair. It permanently makes the hair straight, manageable, silky, smooth and shinny. Once hair experience HAIR REBONDING this will last until the rest of the hairs life.
Is HAIR REBONDING harmfu to the hair?
NO, hair rebonding is not harmful to the hair. Here’s a trivia about hair – hair is actually a dead protein made of keratin, so literally our hair is dead, that’s why it does not hurt when we cut it. If hairstylist are well trained about HAIR REBONDING and do the right process results are 100% guaranteed straight, shinny silky and manageable hair.

How long does HAIR REBONDING last?
Once your hair has gone through hair rebonding process it stays that way for the rest of the hairs life. Reviews say that rebonding are done every 6 months because hair growth reach to 3 inches by that time, the average hair growth per month is .492 inches. The review about rebonding every six months is not TRUE because how can a stylist rebond a hair with 3 inches long only. Hair rebonding for new hair growth is done ONCE A YEAR, where in hair growth reach to up to 6 inches already.
HAIR REBONDING process…. I will explain the process in a not so technical way so that salon clients and soon to be clients will know if the process being done to them is right.
- Shampoo hair and dry 100%
- Divide into quadrant, and apply HAIR REBONDING cream #1
- Leave for 25-30 minutes depending on your hairs state
- Rinse thoroughly, towel dry and spray PPT to protect hair from hair iron
- Iron hair in paper thin using ceramic and ionic hair iron (important that stylist know how to iron hair properly if not this will cause hair breakage)
- After ironing apply HAIR REBONDING cream #2, leave to neutralize for 10-15 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly, apply conditioner towel dry and blow dry
DO’s and DON’Ts in HAIR REBONDING
DO’s
- moisturize hair by purchasing hair maintenance
- do hair treatment at least once a month
- ask you stylist for maintenance advice
- enjoy your new silky, smooth and straight hair
DON’Ts
- do not wet hair for at least 3 days
- do not use hair clips hair grips etc.
- do not tack your hair in your ears
- do not color (permanent) hair for at least two weeks
- don’t go swimming to beaches and pools after rebonding process
- don’t forget you HAIR TREATMENT and HAIR MAINTENANCE
TIPS: Invest in your hair it is not called a crowning glory for nothing. Services are meant to be expensive because stylist continually train themselves with new ways and techniques to better serve and deliver great quality service.

hi po.. im a guy with wavy hair in the front area, and as i want my hair style to be somewhat like “emo” style which is very cool these days.. tanong q lang po kung pwede ba s guys yung hair rebonding and gaano ka short yung hair n pupwede s hair rebonding..

I just want to share you something.
I just had my semi-rebond to one of your salons in Gensan at Robinson’s. The process and steps you mentioned above was not fully applied to me.
-Shampoo hair and dry 100% (the first step was not applied, my hair was semi wet when I arrived at the salon, they directly put the chemical into my hair, they said its called KIWI)
Rinse thoroughly, towel dry and spray PPT to protect hair from hair iron ( they directly applied something after 30 minutes of applying “KIWI”. Then, they rinse my hair after 15 minutes)
Iron hair in paper thin using ceramic and ionic hair iron (important that stylist know how to iron hair properly if not this will cause hair breakage) – This was done after rinsing and John had a hard time ironing my hair. It was very painful on my part.
After ironing apply HAIR REBONDING cream #2, leave to neutralize for 10-15 minutes (this was not done, too)
Rinse thoroughly, apply conditioner towel dry and blow dry (this was not done also, all was done was they iron my hair after rinsing and that’s it.)
May I ask, is that the process for semi-rebond? What’s the difference between rebond and semi-rebond? I just want to make sure. Sophisticut’s process for semi rebond was different but most of the steps you mentioned was applied during my first semi rebond with them in 2011. Hoping for your response and thanks in advance!

I’m sorry if my staff {John} didn’t handle your hair well {hair ironing} I’ll do necessary sanction w/ regards to his action. The process of semi-rebond in we use “KIWI”prosil treatment w/c is from Japan is what they did to u. It doesn’t need neutralizer anymore.

Thank you for your response and sorry for not getting back to you so soon. Giving sanction to your employee is not necessary, what I experience during hair ironing was normal, I think? (I had the same experience at Sophisticut’s also) I know this thread is not for Semi-Rebond but that is why I asked what are the process or difference between Rebond and Semi-Rebond.
There are few parts of my hair that were not straightened especially the tips of my hair. Its dry, rough and it smells like they applied lye on my hair. (is that normal?) I already had my hair straightening treatment this week but same result. Cutting the tip of the hair I think is recommended to make it go away? What do you think? Let me know your insights.

it’s normal that’s the smell of the straightening medicine. I recommend cutting the tips of your hair it’s normal because the oldest part of your hair are the tips it tends to dry talaga. Your welcome.

hi, i have something to ask.it was my first time i had my hair rebonded a day ago, but the process above was not satisfied. Here’s what they did to my hair:
-Divide into quadrant, and apply a cream (i do not know what they used cause they just put it in some kind of container)
-Leave for 25-30 minutes
-Rinse thoroughly, towel dry
-Iron hair
it’s just that then applied cellophane. i paid them full for what rebonding cost.What do u think, is it not rebonding or is it something? i am curious, i’m really think it is just hair relax..
after they ironed your hair did they put another cream like medicine?? or they just put cellophane? then rinse it out? sometimes salons mix the last medicine which is the neutralizer with hair cellophane. if it’s just relax the medicine is most likely not cream it’s kind of slimy brownish color and they do not iron the hair. by the way, what’s the result of your hair rebonding? did it straighten your hair?
