P.A. and MUA si kikay much kailan maging MODEL?

A year ago, JUNE 2009 a good friend of mine and a well known photographer, LEONARD PE asked me to do make-up for a FUN SHOOT with him. We got talking one day and I started sharing my love and fascination of MAKE-UP’s and GLAMOUR SHOOTS. He then candidly asked me to join him and be the MUA (make-up artist) for his model. I was really doubtful of my ability that time because I do not have any experience in doing make-up for other people. I was really shy and scared of the thought of touching and coloring another girls face because I’m so much attuned with my own face and even kind of memorize it already. This is going to be a challenge for me, I said to myself.
Surprisingly my first ever glamour make-up went well and gathered positive comments.
I thank you a thousand times kuya LEONARD for giving me the opportunity that made me realize my potential. After that first fun shoot with our model CHAT ELIZAGAQUE. More fun shoots happen with MAUREEN, NINA PAULO and GAYDRA RAMA.
And once in a lifetime experience FUN SHOOT with the world renowned photographer MANNY LIBRODO and multi-talented photographer/ journalist, JOJIE ALCANTARA with her equally talented hubby RHONSON NG came and i grabbed it. We did the shoot at GLAN, Saranganni with the reigning Pearl of Sarangnni, SANDRA MAE FIGUERRA and a davao base model AVINASH MANSUKANI
During FUN SHOOTS after I’m done with the make-up I find ways to help and learn something that’s why they tease me sometime, MUA na P.A. pa. I’m fascinated with how photographers play around with light. And would like to learn tips in basic photography so that I can use it in my blogpost.
But looking and surfing MANNY LIBRODO‘s website I saw her model KHARUNISIA JAZMIN who also does her own make-up plus she styles and dress herself PLUS PLUS PLUS she is the MODEL. Now, that’s what I want to be I thought to myself (hehehehehe) I really idolize her.

as in AMAZING talaga hehehehe it was just a FUN SHOOT but the experience was GREAT they are very down to earth and fun to be with..
if there are “green thumbs” i count you in not on flowers and plants but on how you play the colors on faces of the models…. your works were spactacular!! i love it, don! keep it up!!!

Donna dear, it’s been nice doing the fun shoot with you too. I still have some photos of you working on your models here in my file. Will email them. As for Manny, he wants us to go back there again and shoot more. Will let you know. Congrats on your fulfilling new career.
