Hairs & Nails Bodies & Faces Salon & Spa opened it’s very 1st franchise branch at Gaisano Grand Mall Tagum City with a Grand Launching and Fashion Show last July 11, 2010. The Fashion Show aims to show the latest fashion trends in cloths, make-up and hairstyles.

The day started with a motorcade all around Tagum City’s business district.  Thanks to EVA MODELS for providing us with mixture of  adorable kids, sexy ladies and hunk men models.

The hairstyling, make-up and cloth fitting started early.

Hairs & Nails creative team worked hand in hand to bring out the best runway look that will compliment the cloth collection of Gaisano Grand Mall Department store. Yours truly, also helped in doing make-ups for the models. I did one LADY GAGA make-up look, one BRIDAL MAKE-UP and as always I do my own make-up.

Fashionable runways looks includes: Casual Street Wear, Night Out Trends, Designer Lady Gaga Inspired look and Bridal Gowns.

The kids strut their staff in the runway in a very adorable way and taking the spotlight with a professional model pose.

Sexy Ladies steamed their way through the runway gaining an awe from the crowd. Hunky Men moved the crowd more closely to the run way with their fashionable walk and seductive pose.

A very touching and heart warming intermission number was presented by kids from song spell, JJ and Charifer. JJ sang “Alone” by Celine Dion and a duet version of “Somewhere out there,” that made me teary eyed.

The crowed got excited when the emcee, yours truly announced that we were about to present the “LADY GAGA” inspired look. Thanks to EGAY AYAG one of Davao’s renowned designer.

A colorful parade of flower girl outfit from the very cute kids lit up the stage.

Then, here comes the brides. Three varied bridal look was presented. And for the finale Mrs. Charito Santiago, Hairs & Nails franchisee was presented.

Over all a very successful event. Kudos to Buddy and Josie for organizing this fashion show. And with the help of their friends Arisa and Gabe they taught Tagum City the latest in fashion trends.

my FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 experience

It is my first time to experience FIFA WORLD CUP worldwide phenomenon experience and the thrill it brings. And no better way to share it with the person who influence me to like “football” or “soccer” my soccer fanatic boyfriend, Emmanuel and my crazy good friend Chattee Lara. (hehehehehe) It is SPAIN vs NETHERLANDS final FIFA WORLD CUP game.

It was a very long day for us since we started the day in a road trip going to Tagum for the Grand Launching and Fashion Show of Hairs & Nails Tagum branch. I played the host, Emman’s role was the sound changing and monitoring and Chattee became the impromptu official Photographer.

Before entering the bar Chattee and I made SPAIN flag face paint using my 180 pcs eyeshadow palette . At first we thought we will look dumb with our SPAIN flag face paint. Entering the bar we felt the lively ambiance at DRAFT PICK SPORTS BAR.  And to our surprise the bar was full of people who also supports SPAIN they wore shirt, jersey and also painted SPAIN’s flag on their face . When they saw us their faces lit and even gave us “paella” and “spanish sausage.”

The game was very intense and yellow cards were flying here and there. Ball possession for both teams are fast and there was a lot of failed GOALS. Everyone felt the tension and eyes were all in the wide screen LCD tv. And breath are held back every time their is a near GOAL attempt. And finally at the 2nd over time the WINNING GOAL from SPAIN’s ANDRES INIESTA sealed SPAIN’s 1st WORLD CUP title.

It was a very unforgettable morning. Thank you Emmanuel and Chattee. Love you both!!

Where can you find AFFORDABLE BRANDED FASHION? I find them in GARAGE SALE some call it PRE-LOVED items sale. Let’s admit it ladies sometimes we splurge on things or outfits we do not wear often. Look at your closet I bet you can pin point a great deal of dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts, pants etc that you haven’t worn this year.

GARAGE SALE vs UKAY-UKAY

I also admit it I buy a lot of my unique clothing in my “suking” class A: UKAY-UKAY where I can splurge freely on AFFORDABLE BRANDED FASHION. But in UKAY-UKAY you don’t know where the clothes came from or who owned it before. On the other hand with GARAGE SALE you get to know the previous owners of the clothes and even share stories on how, where and the times that outfit was worn. A friend of mine told me it’s better to buy in GARAGE SALE because good karma or positive attitude from the seller also goes into his/her clothing and if you buy it some of it get’s pass on to you. But the tricky part is, finding a GARAGE SALE because it is not routinely done.

Where to find GARAGE SALE?

It is found thorough word of mouth open that radar girls to find GARAGE SALES. Often friends do it so check out their FACEBOOK status or photos for information about it. They also advertise in community billboards. Right now?? a GARAGE SALE is in action here at CITIFRONT LODGE, RD BLDG. PIONEER AVE. (fronting BDO, Pioneer) GEN. SANTOS CITY. I’ve been doing my GARAGE SALE ever since May. I gathered all my cloths as well as my families and put it in the vacant space of our building. Proceeds of my GARAGE SALE all goes to the schooling of my housemaid’s four kids. An Update: I already sent the four of them to school last June complete with uniforms and school supplies, thanks to my buyers.

My high school classmates decided to gather their pre-loved BRANDED CLOTHS and join in my  GARAGE SALE. It’s also funny because we are checking out each others collections and resulted to exchange buying.

I love my MAKE UP KIT CASE. My friends call it the transformer (hehehe). It’s a small rectangle black with silver lining box. When you open it, it spreads into two four layer mini shelves. I can carry a lot of my stuff in it when ever a photographer friend invites me for a fun shoot.

I just love my MAKE UP KIT CASE because it makes me feel like I’m a professional make-up artist. I know I have a lot more to learn in make-up techniques. I’m very excited to learn and join (FIDA) Fashion Institute of Design and Arts basic make-up workshop. Last Friday my friends invited me for a night out at Manny & Jinky  Pacquiao’s bar JMIX. It has been a while that i had a “girls nigh out.” So, what does a “kikay” do? GLAM up for this rare night out. I decided to have my HAIR curled at ENVY ME SALON & SPA in Robonson Place Gensan.

EYELASH PERMING

Women especially the ones who do make-up everyday knows the importance of a long and curled lashes for an over all pretty look. Our lashes makes our eyes look good. If our lashes are long and properly curled you can go without eyeshadow and it gives a seductive look.

The average life span of our eyelashes is 150 days but with constant rubbing and eyelash curling with eyelash curlers can cause it to fall and regenerate new ones.

One of the services that salons are offering right now is the EYELASH PERMING.

So, What is EYELASH PERMING?

Eyelash perming is a process done to the eyelash that will give it a curled look for 2 months or so depending on how you manage it. Say goodbye to that eyelash curlers one you’ve experience eyelash perming. A perfectly curled lashes all day and all night long. This process looks very great for some women who are blessed with long lashes but it also works well for those with shorter lashes too.

The process takes at least an hour or so. The idea is just like the idea when perming our hair. So, 1st process is to put in perming lotion then the little rod to the lashes and it will stay for a bout 30 minutes then a 2nd process with neutralizer to hold that curl for another 30 minutes.

TIPS and FACTS:

• If planning to have an EYELASH PERMING do not put on mascara
• through out the process all you have to do is lay down and close your eyes heck! you can even sleep. When you wake up wala! perfectly curled lashes
• this can save you time from your daily make-up routine.
• the EYELASH curl will last for a month or two depending on how you take care of it.
• If the permed lash will fall out, they are replaced by straight lashes and the effect of perming disappears.
• rubbing the lashes frequently can cause it to fall
• not removing your eye make up before going to bed can cause damage to your lashes thus, they break or fall.
• trauma this is cause by accidentally ripping your lashes out or worse get it burned.
• poor diet can also cause hair thinning and eventually hair loss including eyelashes
• it is best to have your eyelash permed by trained professionals

my NIGHTLY BEAUTY ritual

I’m going  to share my NIGHTLY BEAUTY RITUAL. And the products I use and the reason why I love them.

I use Maybelline Make Up Remover. I love this product because it takes away my heaviest make-up easily. No awful odor and the oiliness is just right for the make-up to slip away. I just need a small amount and wala! off the make up goes.

After removing my make-up I wash my face with my favorite and only product that will not cause pimples to my face- PONDS FACIAL WASH. I use clear solutions anti-bacterial facial scrub. I love the tiny beads that acts as the scrub. It leaves my face clean and white.

After that I use PONDS oil solution pore conditioning TONER. I recently use toner because I can see even after the make-up remover and the facial wash some dirt and make-up are still left behind. Although it has a biting feeling it does not leave my face too dry and haven’t cause any pimples for me.

After all that the most important part is my MOISTURIZER. I’m using CELETEQUE Facial moisturizer. I love the cool feeling of it in my face. It is water base so it’s not yucky oily. The moisturizer easily sips into my skin. I love the smooth feeling after I put it on.

Then off to dream land.

That’s my nightly ritual. It also varies because some days I don’t put on make-up. Some days I also don’t use toner I just proceed to the moisturizer. One thing I learn recently moisturize, moisturize and moisturize. Find the perfect moisturizer for you it will give WONDERS to your skin. And Oh! i recently bought GARNIER Brightening Eye Roll-On I added it to my nightly ritual let’s see if it will do wonders to my black under eyes.

I came along a very interesting and informative book recently about HAIRCUT that will fit every shape of the face and diminish defect we see.

Here are some TIPS I gathered to make your HAIRCUT perfect for your FACE.

• For prominent large nose, dress the front hair at an angle or avoid a central parting.
• For square jawlines, it can be softened by fuller side dressings; protruding ears are best covered.
• Low, high, wide or narrow foreheads may be disguised by angling the hair and varying fringe positions.
• Oblong faces maybe reduced by full sides.
• A large round face may look rounder when the hair is full and foaming around it; it looks longer when dressed high at the front and less full at the sides.
• Prominent jaw bones appear harder still when hair is dressed back, but softer with forward hair movements.

I’m going to share to you very useful applications I have in my iPhone. This is for all the kikay’s out there.

This Application has a wide array of TIPS from Health and Diet, Relationships, Beauty, Culture and Travel. I found these tips very useful and have also used some of it in my previous posts.

This Application gives practical TIPS mostly in Skin care, Make-ups and a little bit in Nails and Hairs. These application gives me new knowledge in make-up and skin tips.

I Stylist Make-Over 2.0

This Application lets you do a make-over of yourself. You just have to choose a photo and you can change hair styles, hair color, hair cut and even add hats and shades. I use it if i want to see if a certain look or hairstyle will fit me well.

iSTYLE  Fashion on the go

I love this application mainly because I love dressing up. If I’m too lazy to do a dress up session with myself all I do is play with this application. I also use this to find certain things that I may use or I should have in my closet.

iMake-up Unlimited

I use this application to record all my existing make-up. This is useful when I happen to do un planned make-up shopping because I have a record of make-up’s I still have and not buy the same product.

Sally Salon

I use to play this in my laptop. And now I have it on mobile. Every time I get bored or do nothing I play this game.

Same goes for this application I used to play it before in my laptop and now I can play it more conveniently. Although this is just a game this gives me a new insight in how to improve our Salon and Spa business.
