Vanity Kit for Men “KIKOY KIT”

By Donna Mae  //  Tips, Travel  //  29 Comments

My boyfriend, Emmanuel is not vain but because of our constant travels (Gensan-Davao vice versa) he needed to have his  VANITY KIT or “KIKOY KIT” to carry his toiletries, perfumes, deodorant etc. Lets face it we all use beauty products men and women alike. As we age our skin and hair needs special attention and maintenance.

In this post I’m going to share whats inside a VANITY KIT for MEN or “KIKOY KIT.”

VANITY KIT for MEN or “KIKOY KIT”

  • Nivea Active 3 - this is a great product because it’s 3 in 1 shampoo, shower gel and shaving cream. You can save a lot of space in your vanity kit if you have this. Plus according to Emman it does not irritate his skin while shaving.
  • Rexona Deodorant- he uses the spray type & anti perspirant
  • Penshoppe Cologne- he brings the plastic bottle for convinience
  • Gillette Shaver Double blade- this is a wise buy unlike the disposable one because he can replace the blades
  • Gillette after shave
  • Colgate Toothpaste & Toothbrush- he uses the bending type toothbrush
  • Astring-o-sol mouth wash
  • Cotton buds
  • RIZO Wax- this is for styling his hair, this leaves his hair up but it’s not sticky
  • Enervon C MultiVitamins
  • Imodium- for emergency purposes

Vain or not we all need our VANITY KIT. Their are a lot of cosmetic products available in the market that caters to MEN’s vanity needs. Their are lotions, deodorants, moisturizers, toners and a lot more.

TIP:

  • VANITY KIT‘s always depends on the length of time you intent to stay in one place.
  • Buy travel size products the smaller the products the lesser space it occupies.

So, you there, are you man enough to have a VANITY KIT of KIKOY KIT?

  • walay condoms?????????? hala gyud! heheh

    • hahahaha wala sir :) kaw jud!!!

  • my kikoy kit always has a nailcutter or nipper. You dont know when a trim is necessary.- and speaking of trim, gentlemen should never have nose hairs sticking out – so a small pair of grooming scissors should be there.

I always pack cold cream, but i dont think straight guys even kbow how to use that. Hahaha

The kikoy kit actually shows you how much of a gentleman your man is.

    • i totally agree rain :) emman’s kikoy kit is bigger now he met me before he don’t have any :) hahahahaha and yes yes yes!!! wohhooooo very informative comment I’m looking forward for your BLOG soon??? hehehehe

    • hehehehe wala sya nyan pero yeah a good suggestion for him :) hehehehe thank you :)

  • Yes, I already signed up. I actually have an outline of topics already, and you can tie up with one. It’s called Skin Care VS Skin Scare: the practical guide to better skin. I did this after realizing that a lot of people our age look older than they really are… And it’s always the same story… “simple lang naman ako. Di ako vain. Tama na sa akin yung hilamos with soap and water.” kaya ayun, mukhang losyang ang skin.

I’m also writing about the skin whitening culture in our society and how ‘white’ is not considered sosyal and classy anymore. Same thing goes with hair straightening. Heehehe

    • wow!!!! :) wohhoooooo!!! go rain go!!! :) it’s a great, interesting and very informative topic… help me change that “perception” na men aren’t suppose to be “vain” and what is VANITY?? kaartehan lang bah talaga? oh necessity??? hehehehehe
and YES!!! our “OLD” social culture dictates that being “white” = high social status :) and it’s NOT!!!

      • Eto lang ha… I used to work for one of the top fashion corporations in the country. Most of my officemates were high-society girls… really rich, well travelled, educated and basically perfect. Not one of them preferred skin whitening… they rather went for good tans. The ones who wanted to have white skin were in clerical positions and down.

Same thing goes for hair straightening. Go to the parties of the rich and glamorous… you’ll never find straight hair there. You wont even find a beauty queen with straight hair!

  • donna, you should write something about how stylish women like you admire well-dressed men.
ang dami kasing guys, feeling nila ang ‘macho factor’ nila ang bebenta… Mukha namang basahan.

    • hahahahaha oo nga!!! :) cge NOTED!!! i don’t like “PA-MACHO” guys!!! ung tipong parang may PIG-SA sa kili kili just to show off their biceps and triceps and they wear sandos everywhere!!! and they walk like robots from terminator HAHAHAHAHA I’m thinking of putting a POST about GENSAN STREET FASHION!!! :) will take photos of random ladies and men walking along the streets of GENSAN and wearing fashionable cloths :) what you think??? :) hehehehe

      • Sounds good. And oh, by the way, yung sinasabi mong mga pa-macho na parang may pigsa sa kilikili at nakasando parati (I call them Bullfrogs for obvious reasons)… 85% of them are BADING! hahaha seriously.

They don’t call the gym the “gay church” for no reason…

  • Wow, that’s nice! You should have seen the “kikoy” kit I brought to GenSan, parang over masyado LOL (cleanser + toner + moisturizer + sun milk for the face + sun block for the body + lotion + cotton + hair shape shifter + vitamins + deodorant + perfume + oil clear paper + lip balm with spf) :D

    • hahahahahaha :) wow ha!!! dami!!! :)

  • Vanity Kit for Men ?KIKOY KIT?…

I found your entry interesting do I’ve added a Trackback to it on my weblog :)

  • we have in common- toothpaste, toothbrush, cotton buds.. yun lang. hehe

  • Hi! I’m not a regular reader, but when I see new posts which are interesting, I drop by and read the comments. Your conversation with Rain is interesting. This may be off-topic, but I like the perception on straight hair vs “volumized” hair. =) I, too, believe that Pinoy’s view that “uber straight hair is beautiful” is skewed. If you see Hollywood actresses, they go for vavavoom tresses! Looking forward to a very informative blog about this!

Let’s go fashionistas and kikays! =))

    Much love,
    Gwyn

    • hehehehehe thank you :) ok topic NOTED!!! :) for my own opinion it all depends on fashion and style individually because their are certain facial shape that look good on super straight hair and also some in “volumized” curly hair i’ll try my best to gather them and do a post about it :)

oh yeah!!! let’s go kikays!!! :)

  • this is cute, i always pack my hubby’s vanity kit. i just added some body scrub, i know it’s too much but men also need to soften their skin. hehe :)

    • yes i agree :) hehehehe thank you for dropping by my blog :)
