Maria Venus Raj the next Miss Universe?

Maria Venus Raj, Philippines representative to the most coveted title MISS UNIVERSE is wittingly charming her way to the top of the internet polls. A 22 year old government employee and part time model from Bato, Camarines Sur who stands 5 feet 9 inches tall. She fought for her crown because of a citizenship issue but was successfully reinstated.

Maria Venus Raj is a perfect epitome of a modern day cinderella with her movie worthy life story. She is a poor girl that dreamed big.

With her stunning 35-22-35 vital statistics, Filipino-Indian mix, exquisite face, appealing caramel skin tone,  an unmatched determination, engaging wit, captivating charm and charisma she’s now the biggest threat to France’s Malika Menard’s attempt to the title according to  “Premiere,” a French television program.

Filipinos lets pray and cross our fingers that this coming August 24, 2010 Maria Venus Raj will bring home the 3rd MISS UNIVERSE title for the Philippines.

On a side note I have gathered photos of Maria Venus Raj from the images section of Google and found that HAIRSTYLES do chance our look. I gathered photo of Maria Venus Raj with wavy hair, straight hair, tied in pony tail, up do hairstyle and see the difference it made with her face. My personal favorite is when she lets down her hair with a wavy style in the end. For me a wavy hair is more befitting for a Beauty Queen. Beanie Hat

Since rainy days are here I’ve been talking about head pieces that is great for rainy season. My last post was about BERET which I’d love to have. Theirs one more thing I’d love to have-BEANIE hat. Last year when My brother and I went to Singapore he bought a BEANIE hat. I wore it there and found it very fashionable and useful especially this rainy season.

What is Beanie hat?

A beanie is a head-hugging brimless cap with or without a visor that was once popular among school boys. Beanies are made by triangular sections of cloth joined by a button at the crown and seamed together around the sides.

Beret

I’m a huge Gossip Girl fan. Aside from the very catchy plot I particularly love their FASHION styles. I particularly love BLAIRE’s sense of FASHION. One episode it was winter season Blaire was wearing a BERET when she kissed Nate at the skating ring of Central Park. It was a very romantic scene but my eyes was fixed at the BERET she was wearing.

So, What is a BERET?

A beret (pronounced /ˈbɛreɪ/^[1] or /bəˈreɪ/;^[2] French: [beˈʁɛ]) (Basque: txapel; and Portuguese/Spanish: boina), is a soft, round, flat-crowned cap, usually of woven or hand-knitted wool, wool felt, or these days often acrylic fiber.

The beret is usually associated with France although it is in fact more specific to the Pyrenees, a region which extends to the Northern Basque Country. It has also been occasionally a traditional or fashionable headgear in the Netherlands and Italy. With precursors extending as far back as the Middle Ages in the Low Countries, and strong claims in the Béarn, the exact origins of the beret remain unknown.

I would really love to have one, calling all my friends (hehehehe) my birthdays coming up this October *wink*. I can’t find BERET here in the Gensan and Davao that fits my budget. I saw one at CHIMES Davao and OMG! one BERET hat cost more than 2,000 pesos. And it’s not the one I like because it’s very soft and very hard to form shape. I love the BERET the one BLAIRE’s wearing in the photo.

Any ways BERET comes in different shape, size, color and purpose.

Kikay MUCH’s LAPTOP

I have my MACBOOK laptop for over a year now. I use my laptop for at least 12 hours a day. I love my MACBOOK laptop because I can do anything I want with a breeze. It’s long battery hours top my “why I love my MacBook” list. Of course the “kikay” in me always shows even with the stuffs I use.

One of the things I do to maintain my smooth skin is do a BODY SCRUB weekly. My favorite BODY SCRUB partner is ST. IVES APRICOT SCRUB. I’m always cautious in the skin products I used because I have a very sensitive skin that easily reddens and develop rashes that darkens easily. But with St. Ives Apricot Scrub I don’t get any skin reactions and rashes rather what I get is a very smooth skin.

Armpit HAIR REMOVAL

I had my ARMPIT WAXED yesterday at ENVY ME SALON & SPA, Robinsons Place Gensan. Their are a lot of HAIR REMOVAL methods now a days. The very common method used in SALONS & SPA is the HOT WAX using EPILIN WAX HAIR REMOVER.

HOT WAX HAIR REMOVAL is where a wax is heated with just the right temperature. When the wax reached it’s right texture and temperature it will be carefully put and spread in the armpit or legs. The wax easily dries up and that’s your que to remove it. In removing the wax the hair attached to it will also be pulled out. So, for first timers brace yourself for this PAINFUL part.

The effectiveness of this kind of HAIR REMOVAL METHOD depends on the right timing, the temperature, the placing and then the removal. If the EPILIN WAX is put in the armpit or legs when it is too hot it can result to skin burn and can cause armpit darkening. But if done the right way the EPILIN WAX can also remove the 1st layer dry skin that causes skin darkening. Deodorant residue can sometimes cause armpit skin darkening but with constant HOT WAXING it can slowly remove that residue.

I like having my HOT WAXING using EPILIN WAX HAIR REMOVER because it slows the hair growth in my armpit area. And not just that the strand of the new hair growth THINS.

Nothing beats a relaxing MANICURE & PEDICURE experience while reading a book or magazine. My favorite manicurist is “BELLA” of ENVY ME SALON, Robinsons Place Gensan.

FOOT SPA is another whole new experience also. At first I was a bit shy to let the manicurist scrub my foot and legs, legs?..  YES!,  legs because at ENVY ME SALON the FOOT SPA service is not only concentrated on the FOOT. Their FOOT SPA service includes the legs. The Manicurist will soak your foot at the FOOT SPA machine while doing your MANICURE then scrub your foot and legs with ST. IVES APRICOT SCRUB.

So, a word of advice if you would like to go have your FOOT SPA wear shorts or a bit loose pants so that the manicurist would not have a hard time. But hey don’t worry if your trip to the salon is unplanned and you have that fit pants on because ENVY ME SALON has a shorts dedicated for clients like you.

Then comes my not so favorite part the scrubbing of the foot with foot pile to scrub off the build up callus. As for me I don’t have a lot of callus so I ask my manicurist to skip this part (hehehehehe) because of another reason also it tickles me (shhhhhhhh).
