MAC Lipliner

I was recently given a MAC Lipliner and it is just now that I realize the magic it brings to your lips. I know of Lipliners existence and I have one but it’s color do not fit me well. With my new MAC Lipliner Chicory the color blends in to my lips as if I’m not wearing any lipstick or lipliner. I love the illusion it gives of a pouty lips.

Compared to my last Lipliner MAC Lipliner is perfect because one light stroke and wala!!! perfect line. It is just like a color pencil and I’m drawing an outline on my lips.

MAC Lipliner Chicory has a brownish reddish color reflect and it’s just perfect for my fair complexion.

Now, my everyday look is not complete with out putting on MAC Lipliner Chicory first before putting my MAC lipstick.

MAC Smokey Eyeshadow Palette

My best friends cousin, Mercy Dichosa who is base in Chicago recently went home and had a 3 weeks vacation. We instantly clicked an share a lot of laughs, drinks, and a little dance moves. We talked about make-up of course because we women do that (hehehehe). Hey girl, what brand of make-up you use,  I love that color on you, Oh oh you better try this one- things like that. I dugged into ate Mercy’s make-up bag and found a lot of neat make-up stuff. She also have a lot of MAC products, what captured my eyes was her MAC Smokey Eyeshadow Palette.

Occasionally, I love to do a smokey eyes look specially during friday or saturday night out. Her MAC Smokey Eyeshadow Palette is just perfect for that. Aside from the compact, sleek, and antique design i really dig the color combinations it have. Everything I need for everyday make-up with earth and brownish tones down to the smokey grayish and black tones it is all here.

Mercy saw my enthusiasm when i saw her MAC Smokey Eyeshadow Palette and she promised she will give it to me and she DID!!! wiiiii!!!! thank you thank you ate Mercy for the MAC Smokey Eyeshadow Palette I love it and I’m using it everyday since you left. Tips during FESTIVALS

Here in the Philippines there are a lot of festivals all year round. And this September it is time for the most delicious festival in the Philippines the TUNA FESTIVAL of General Santos City. So, how can you maximize and enjoy each day you have in visiting Festivities.

• RESEARCH know and research blogs and websites for the official schedule and line of activities one festival has to offer
• KNOW what you WANT to SEE among all the list of activities pin point the ones you are interested to see or participate in
• SUNBLOCK you will need this one when you want to watch street dancing which we here in the Philippines love to do during festivals
• HAT find a handy dandy hat that will protect you from the scourging heat of the sun
• WATER always have a bottle of water to hydrate yourself
• SUN GLASSES of course be fashionable with your sun glasses so that you will look good on photos
• CAMERA never forget your camera it is the only thing you can bring home with you to document all the fun you have. Take a lot of photos.
• VITAMINS arm yourselves with vitamins C to to make you feel good while enjoying the festivities
• BE OPEN TO NEW EXPERIENCES you go to festivals to other countries or places to see and experience new things and activities you haven’t done.
• HAVE FUN enjoy each moment
• EAT, EAT, EAT TUNA FESTIVAL is not known to be the most delicious festival in the Philippines for nothing…. a FRESH TUNA is very delicious and very HEALTHY!!!

how I FOLD my BATHROOM TOWEL

I don’t want my hair to get wet at night when I wash my face. So what I do is wrap my hair with a bathroom towel and fold it neatly same as what they do in salons. I want to share to you HOW I FOLD MY BATHROOM TOWEL in order that my hair will not get wet.

So, here’s what I do.

I spread the towel.

I fold two inches of the towel which will serve as the lock later on.

I put the towel on my forehead the one with two inches fold is in the front part.

I tuck my hair inside the towel then twist it.

I will reach for the end of the towel and lock it in front where I have the two inch fold and

WALA!!! neatly folded bathroom towel with my hair tucked inside.

Nail Art for TUNA FESTIVAL

It’s the time of the year again the most delicious FESTIVAL in the Philippines- GENSAN’s TUNA FESTIVAL. Just in time for this festive season I got my NAIL ART at ENVY ME SALON & SPA at Robinsons Place Gensan. I told my staff to theme my NAIL ART in the up coming TUNA FESTIVAL so she made me cute fishes.

Well let’s talk about TUNA FESTIVAL this years festival was moved to September 18 to 26 to make it more grand and a one month long celebration. Their are a lot of events to look forward to spear headed by our very beautiful ganda ever so much festival director ORMAN MANANSALA.

For me I’m always looking forward to MISS GENSAN

And alas! this year it will be more interesting with the birth of MR. GENSAN (wohhhoooo)

I always look forward for the grand and hip production numbers directed by no less than DINO VELOSO. As a self proclaimed fassionista and  learning make up artist I’m excited to see make ups done by our local and very talented make up artists. They transform timid young girls to the beautiful, confident, beauty queens that they truly are. This is an event you shouldn’t miss.

There are a lot of other events to look forward too. Theirs the AL FRESCO SAHIMI NIGHT (my event), Cheer Dance Competition, Fish dance Hip Hop Competition, Gensan Pop Idol, Mardi Gras and more.

Men’s Simple “ROCKSTAR” FASHION

I’ve always been fascinated by MEN’S ROCKSTAR FASHION. They always go for simple plain black shirt, denim pants and a chuck taylor or rubber shoes. Unlike us girls with our color combination guys and rockstars often go for black, gray and white colors. During concerts you always see them wearing dark colored shirt.

Here is my encounter with SPONGE COLA when they had their concert for the 50years celebration of RMMC.

Men go for comfortable fashion. Especially rockstars they want to run around, jump and rock the stage. SPONGE COLA vocalist YEAL’s fashion is what I would like to call SIMPLE ROCKSTAR FASHION. During the concert He wore black plain t-shirt, dark denim pants and a black rubber shoes. He then changed his shirt to a plain sky blue when they went out to dine at PIYESTA KTV & RESTOBAR.

ASAP Sessionistas Live in GENSAN

Be prepared for a WORLD CLASS quality performance everyone. The ASAP SESSIONISTAS just came from their world tour and after that the first place they are going to, here in our country will be in our very own town GENERAL SANTOS CITY.

A “kikay” like me is always excited whenever concerts are in town. It is where I get to see socialites here in our beautiful place, Gensan. And I get to see the latest fashion through the guest artist, the latest trends in make-ups and their shoes.

So imagine my excitement when I heard that ASAP SESSIONISTAS will be having a concert here at Lagao Gym this coming September 10, 2010. I literally marked my calendar  for this huge event.

The ASAP SESSIONISTAS LIVE IN GENSAN is one huge concert because not one, not even two, their will be SIX (6) extremely talented and sought after singers who will share their music to us and they are NINA, AIZA, DUNCAN, SITTI, RICHARD POON and JURIS.

According to the organizer GERALDINE OVILLE this will be a 3 HOUR concert. (wohhoooo imagine that!!!) And my favorite local band CENTERPOINT will be there also!!!  (me singing: tuloy, tuloy ka lang kaibigan wag kang bibitaw!!) In this concert we will get to hear the new TUNA FESTIVAL theme song LIVE by no other than (drum roll please!!!) CENTERPOINT BAND!!! the songs title is “WHOA GENSAN”

So, why do I want to watch this concert again??

• NINA!!!! – I adore her love love love her voice. I met her last August 28 when she had her solo concert here. She’s very nice and accommodating.
• AIZA - would really love to hear her soft voice LIVE!! it will be awesome
• SITTI – I appreciated BOSSA because of her
• JURIS – oh common who haven’t heard of her songs??? very soft voice whose songs themed my college life
• RICHARD POON – i wanna bring my kumot at unan for this concert because of him
• DUNCAN – will make this concert lively.
• CENTERPOINT BAND- the most awaited LIVE performance of Tuna Festival theme song “WHOA GENSAN!”
• FASHION – I can’t wait to see what they will be wearing during the concert
• MAKE-UP’s – for a new color combination to try myself soon. I wanna see how they will match their outfits or gowns with their Make-up’s
• MUSIC – to enrich my soul with soft, upbeat and beautiful music is just perfect. We all need to do this once in a while

NiNA’s Fashion

Last August 28, 2010 NINA came to GENSAN for her NINA LIVE in GENSAN Concert. My Restobar is one of the sponsors for the said event.

NINA was supposed to dine for lunch at PIYESTA KTV & RESTOBAR at 12noon but she was tired from last nights gig and slept instead but her band came and dined. Even though she did not eat she still came and signed our wall and she was game for picture taking. That’s so very nice of her to go out of her way for us.

I immediately noticed her smooth, flawless and white skin. When she saw me she had that signature smile on and presented her hand for a hand shake saying “Hi!, Hello!!.” I was star struck!  Her songs made a huge influence as i was growing up and discovering love.

Now on to NINA’s Fashion. I love her fashion sense. She arrived in Gensan wearing a white blouse, shorts, and a light brown long vest for layer. She changed her shorts to long faded jeans when she went to our Resotbar before going to the concert venue for sound check.

During the concert NINA totally changed her fashion style fit for the title ASIA’s SOUL SIREN. She wore a skin tone, venus cut, beaded and gold-sequenced blouse and a black high waist mini skirt. Her outfit is perfect for her petite, slender and sexy body. She also complimented it with her gold and silver bangle bracelet and a cute “SEXY” ring. She completed her outfit with a gold strappy heels.

We enjoyed her performance listening to her classic love songs. I found myself reminiscing. She entertained the crowed with her high pitched soft voice nailing those high tones with poise and grace. I love NINA and I will be watching her again for the upcoming SESSIONISTA LIVE in GENSAN concert this coming September 10, 2010.
