As a salon owner I’m always experimenting and trying new hair color techniques to my hair. I’ve been a blonde then a brunette and we’ve also tried traditional foiling highlight techniques and the ombre hair color. Now we’ve tried the Balayage Hair Color Technique.
What is Balayage Hair Color Technique?
Balayage is a French colouring technique that was developed in the 1970s. It’s a freehand technique where the colour is applied by hand rather than using the traditional foiling or cap highlighting techniques. Balayage can be used in even the shortest pixie crop however the best results is in hair below the shoulders.
Balayage refers to the process of sweeping color onto hair using a paddle. Balayage gives the colorist more freedom to place color where she/he chooses, unlike foils which can be much more precise.
My advice this hair color technique will look great with light hair color like blonde. If you have plans in getting your hair rebonded or permed do not get your hair colored with balayage because with this technique we mostly use bleach or very light hair color so as to give a very nice dimension.
