YOGA in Gensan
I heard that yoga is a really good work out but it wasn’t until I was invited by my friends to join them that I really get to experience what Yoga is. And much to my surprise I really like it and I was sweating profoundly a different kind of sweat unlike the boxing and zumba sweat I’ve been experiencing.

My 1st yoga class was a Thursday and it was “Power Core Class” it was really hard for me, but I took it as a challenge and went back the next day and joined the special class “Yoga for Athletes.” I did my 1st head stand with my boyfriend, Emman with the support and encouragement of our awesome yoga teacher, Helen Prieto of Marichi Yoga House. Here are the photos of my progress in yoga, my head stand poses.

In yoga I’ve discovered my countless capabilities. I’ve learn to listen to my body, trust that I can do it, be patient and I’m still learning how to let go and not over think things. Slowly I’ve learned that once you let go and just breath you’ll be surprise what your body is capable of doing.

Slowly I gathered the courage and strength to do and explore yoga poses. While looking at photos of my head stand attempts I’m still at awe of what our bodies can endure and capable of doing. I’m recalling my feeling while doing these poses and surprisingly I feel a certain serenity and calmness.

I consider this as my fitness achievement and I have these people to thank Paolo Sunglao, Dimples Odi and Jag Ireneo for dragging me and making me try yoga and for taking these photos. To our patient, talented, cool and understanding teacher, Helen Prieto for all your encouragement, motivation and for a fun yoga class.
