My New Belt from HUMAN

Have you ever experience your BELT tearing apart? Constant use of belt will usually tear the part where we hook the lock. Just like this.

Like you I have experience all my BELTS suffer the same faith. First it will slash where I usually hook my belt lock. Then eventually it will rip in two.

My fashion guru, beauty product consultant fashion and beauty blogger friend Brendel Balaga showed me her plastic neon color BELT. I immediately ask her where she bought it and she told me she got it from HUMAN G-Mall. I told her I need one. She accompanied me to Gmall one day and I bought two BELTS, white and pink.

I like the packaging. And if the BELT is too long you can easily cut it out with a scissor and lock it back. If you have the same problem with you belt like me I suggest you include this belt in your Christmas shopping list.

It only cost me P200 pesos more or less I forgot the exact amount. Go visit HUMAN store at the MALLS near you.

10-10-10 Oh noh! three-oh!

Recently a good friend of mine celebrated a milestone in her life. The very fabulous Cherry Odi celebrated her 30th birthday on October 10, 2010 (10-10-10) she named the event: OH NO!! Three Oh!! she themed it in the 80′s. RSVP was strictly 80′s look. The facade of the venue has the 80′s feel and most definitely the 80′s rhythm and groves.

I had a hard time choosing what to wear because I really want to follow the RSVP, look fabulous and at the same time be comfortable to the outfit. I went with the 80′s aerobics look complete with blue colorful leggings, black mini skirt, pink sleeveless and gray layer asymmetric top and gray heels boots. I accessorized with a colorful bangles, chandelier earrings and yellow bead necklace.

I was happy to see other guests who also came in their 80′s look. Of course me and my sissy Romarie went their together she helped me put my outfit together and I did her make-up. Parties like these don’t come too often so we really seized the moment and enjoyed every bit of the party. Cocktails were served, main courses and an open bar afterwards. The nights up beat 80′s music by the KINETIC BAND made us strut our moves in the dance floor. Special dance and song numbers were rendered by staff and manager of Little Dubai. Messages were read and AVR from friends who can’t come were also presented, well wishes were addressed. It was like a debut and wedding less the groom and wedding ritual type of party (hehehehehe).

Their was fireworks also. A night to truly remember but the life of the party was still the bubbly, energetic and fabulous birthday girl, CHERRY her lively energy really stood out.

ASAP SESSIONISTAS FASHION during CONCERT in GENSAN

Asap Sessionista is combination of the most sought after Philippine singers. Their collaboration is fusion of all music genre is just exemplary.

So you have Richard Poon, who genre is the 80′s, the oldies but the goodies. His style is more on preppy and formal but with a touch of rockstar look. He looks hot whatever he has on

Duncan, who is the most flexible he can hit the r&b genre and as well as the ballads with 5 years of experience together with South Border.  Duncan has his trade mark style with his bonnet and hat and his vest. He plays with combining hip hop style with formal and preppy.

Aiza, who nails high notes but maintains the acoustic feel and depth of her voice mix with emotions. She just loves her statement shirts. Her style is simple yet artistic.

Juris, we all knew her from MYMP her unique and distinct angelic voice separates her from everyone, her rendition of the ballads and high notes is just heavenly.  She first went out with that long, big and curly hair and then changed into am up do hair style afterwards. In my own opinion I like her in an up do hairstyle because she looks mature with that long,big and curly hair. With a kind of voice like her which is just angelic I want her to go with up do hairstyle every time she has a concert.

Sitti, she was the first artist here in the Philippines to explore the bossa genre. Her sweet voice is the best for the Bossa feel. The girls went out with matching metallic studded dresses with black leggings. Then they went out individually with their own fashion styles. The third outfit was a match again for the three girls with their metallic lady gaga inspired modern dresses.

Nina the soul siren. I just adore her. She has ZERO star complex. I also love her fashion sense. Be fitting for a diva but not too intimidating.

The last outfit Nina wore was a red sequenced red mini dress but at first it has that hideous extension looking like a curtain which made my eye sore but when she tore it off it made me clap and said (ahhhhhhhh).

Make-ups and hairstyles that night was also great. Fit for a concert and show of their caliber. Kudos to everyone behind Asap Sessionistas Live in Gensan concert.

Men’s Simple “ROCKSTAR” FASHION

I’ve always been fascinated by MEN’S ROCKSTAR FASHION. They always go for simple plain black shirt, denim pants and a chuck taylor or rubber shoes. Unlike us girls with our color combination guys and rockstars often go for black, gray and white colors. During concerts you always see them wearing dark colored shirt.

Here is my encounter with SPONGE COLA when they had their concert for the 50years celebration of RMMC.

Men go for comfortable fashion. Especially rockstars they want to run around, jump and rock the stage. SPONGE COLA vocalist YEAL’s fashion is what I would like to call SIMPLE ROCKSTAR FASHION. During the concert He wore black plain t-shirt, dark denim pants and a black rubber shoes. He then changed his shirt to a plain sky blue when they went out to dine at PIYESTA KTV & RESTOBAR.

NiNA’s Fashion

Last August 28, 2010 NINA came to GENSAN for her NINA LIVE in GENSAN Concert. My Restobar is one of the sponsors for the said event.

NINA was supposed to dine for lunch at PIYESTA KTV & RESTOBAR at 12noon but she was tired from last nights gig and slept instead but her band came and dined. Even though she did not eat she still came and signed our wall and she was game for picture taking. That’s so very nice of her to go out of her way for us.

I immediately noticed her smooth, flawless and white skin. When she saw me she had that signature smile on and presented her hand for a hand shake saying “Hi!, Hello!!.” I was star struck!  Her songs made a huge influence as i was growing up and discovering love.

Now on to NINA’s Fashion. I love her fashion sense. She arrived in Gensan wearing a white blouse, shorts, and a light brown long vest for layer. She changed her shorts to long faded jeans when she went to our Resotbar before going to the concert venue for sound check.

During the concert NINA totally changed her fashion style fit for the title ASIA’s SOUL SIREN. She wore a skin tone, venus cut, beaded and gold-sequenced blouse and a black high waist mini skirt. Her outfit is perfect for her petite, slender and sexy body. She also complimented it with her gold and silver bangle bracelet and a cute “SEXY” ring. She completed her outfit with a gold strappy heels.

We enjoyed her performance listening to her classic love songs. I found myself reminiscing. She entertained the crowed with her high pitched soft voice nailing those high tones with poise and grace. I love NINA and I will be watching her again for the upcoming SESSIONISTA LIVE in GENSAN concert this coming September 10, 2010.

Fashion Trend LAYERING

A comfortable but very stylish trend in FASHION especially during rainy season or winter is LAYERING clothes. I love the rainy season because it gives me an excuse to wear my boots and LAYER my clothes.

In LAYERING clothes experiment and color match them. Look at your closet and scan for old clothes you used to love then LAYER it with new finds. In your free time explore your closet and do a dress or outfit rehearsal. I do it sometimes (hehehehehe). You will be surprised in what you find in your very own closet.

LAYERING clothes can reveal your unseen talent and creativeness in clothes and color mix matching. Go try it sometimes, it will be fun. Do it with your friend or sister.

I recently discovered by watching myself in the mirror that through LAYERING CLOTHES I look thinner and taller. It gives an illusion of a longer body especially if I use my long vest. I’m gifted with a bootylicious “ass” (hehehehehe) so it helps that I choose a longer layer to also cover it.

I also think we can pull off LAYERING clothes even during summer time.  Of course layer thin, sleeveless and spaghetti stap apparel.

Beanie Hat

Since rainy days are here I’ve been talking about head pieces that is great for rainy season. My last post was about BERET which I’d love to have. Theirs one more thing I’d love to have-BEANIE hat. Last year when My brother and I went to Singapore he bought a BEANIE hat. I wore it there and found it very fashionable and useful especially this rainy season.

What is Beanie hat?

A beanie is a head-hugging brimless cap with or without a visor that was once popular among school boys. Beanies are made by triangular sections of cloth joined by a button at the crown and seamed together around the sides.

Beret

I’m a huge Gossip Girl fan. Aside from the very catchy plot I particularly love their FASHION styles. I particularly love BLAIRE’s sense of FASHION. One episode it was winter season Blaire was wearing a BERET when she kissed Nate at the skating ring of Central Park. It was a very romantic scene but my eyes was fixed at the BERET she was wearing.

So, What is a BERET?

A beret (pronounced /ˈbɛreɪ/^[1] or /bəˈreɪ/;^[2] French: [beˈʁɛ]) (Basque: txapel; and Portuguese/Spanish: boina), is a soft, round, flat-crowned cap, usually of woven or hand-knitted wool, wool felt, or these days often acrylic fiber.

The beret is usually associated with France although it is in fact more specific to the Pyrenees, a region which extends to the Northern Basque Country. It has also been occasionally a traditional or fashionable headgear in the Netherlands and Italy. With precursors extending as far back as the Middle Ages in the Low Countries, and strong claims in the Béarn, the exact origins of the beret remain unknown.

I would really love to have one, calling all my friends (hehehehe) my birthdays coming up this October *wink*. I can’t find BERET here in the Gensan and Davao that fits my budget. I saw one at CHIMES Davao and OMG! one BERET hat cost more than 2,000 pesos. And it’s not the one I like because it’s very soft and very hard to form shape. I love the BERET the one BLAIRE’s wearing in the photo.

Any ways BERET comes in different shape, size, color and purpose.

Now, I’m officially a “football” or “soccer” fan. Again I have my boyfriend, Emmanuel to blame on this one. And recently I experienced my very first FIFA WORLD CUP fever. Now I understand the beauty and the enthusiasm of the whole world for this game.

I was rooting for SPAIN to win the FIFA WORLD CUP and HORRAY!!! they WON!!! VIVA!!! viva ESPAÑA!!! (ole.. ole.. ole.. ole…!!!!) My support for them didn’t stop after  the game. My shopping addiction kicked in and I bought a NIKE ESPAÑA T-shirt. And to match it I also bought ESPAÑA HAVAIANAS FIFA World Cup Edition.

My soccer fanatic boyfriend also bought a pair of PORTUGAL HAVAIANAS FIFA World Cup Edition. Guess what it’s his very first pair of HAVAIANAS and it’s all because of FIFA WORLD CUP phenomenon. He also bought a NIKE BRASIL T-shirt. Initially he wanted a GERMANY HAVAIANAS FIFA World Cup Edition but sadly it was out of stock.

Thank you to BRENDEL BALAGA’s blog GET PRETTIFIED that I was informed of the existence of HAVAIANAS FIFA World Cup Edition.

My dream is to be in BRASIL four (4) years from now to experience FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 and hopefully will still be wearing my ESPAÑA HAVAIANAS FIFA World Cup Edition.

Hairs & Nails Grand Launching and Fashion Show

Hairs & Nails Bodies & Faces Salon & Spa opened it’s very 1st franchise branch at Gaisano Grand Mall Tagum City with a Grand Launching and Fashion Show last July 11, 2010. The Fashion Show aims to show the latest fashion trends in cloths, make-up and hairstyles.

The day started with a motorcade all around Tagum City’s business district.  Thanks to EVA MODELS for providing us with mixture of  adorable kids, sexy ladies and hunk men models.

The hairstyling, make-up and cloth fitting started early.

Hairs & Nails creative team worked hand in hand to bring out the best runway look that will compliment the cloth collection of Gaisano Grand Mall Department store. Yours truly, also helped in doing make-ups for the models. I did one LADY GAGA make-up look, one BRIDAL MAKE-UP and as always I do my own make-up.

Fashionable runways looks includes: Casual Street Wear, Night Out Trends, Designer Lady Gaga Inspired look and Bridal Gowns.

The kids strut their staff in the runway in a very adorable way and taking the spotlight with a professional model pose.

Sexy Ladies steamed their way through the runway gaining an awe from the crowd. Hunky Men moved the crowd more closely to the run way with their fashionable walk and seductive pose.

A very touching and heart warming intermission number was presented by kids from song spell, JJ and Charifer. JJ sang “Alone” by Celine Dion and a duet version of “Somewhere out there,” that made me teary eyed.

The crowed got excited when the emcee, yours truly announced that we were about to present the “LADY GAGA” inspired look. Thanks to EGAY AYAG one of Davao’s renowned designer.

A colorful parade of flower girl outfit from the very cute kids lit up the stage.

Then, here comes the brides. Three varied bridal look was presented. And for the finale Mrs. Charito Santiago, Hairs & Nails franchisee was presented.

Over all a very successful event. Kudos to Buddy and Josie for organizing this fashion show. And with the help of their friends Arisa and Gabe they taught Tagum City the latest in fashion trends.

Affordable BRANDED FASHION & CLOTHING

Where can you find AFFORDABLE BRANDED FASHION? I find them in GARAGE SALE some call it PRE-LOVED items sale. Let’s admit it ladies sometimes we splurge on things or outfits we do not wear often. Look at your closet I bet you can pin point a great deal of dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts, pants etc that you haven’t worn this year.

GARAGE SALE vs UKAY-UKAY

I also admit it I buy a lot of my unique clothing in my “suking” class A: UKAY-UKAY where I can splurge freely on AFFORDABLE BRANDED FASHION. But in UKAY-UKAY you don’t know where the clothes came from or who owned it before. On the other hand with GARAGE SALE you get to know the previous owners of the clothes and even share stories on how, where and the times that outfit was worn. A friend of mine told me it’s better to buy in GARAGE SALE because good karma or positive attitude from the seller also goes into his/her clothing and if you buy it some of it get’s pass on to you. But the tricky part is, finding a GARAGE SALE because it is not routinely done.

Where to find GARAGE SALE?

It is found thorough word of mouth open that radar girls to find GARAGE SALES. Often friends do it so check out their FACEBOOK status or photos for information about it. They also advertise in community billboards. Right now?? a GARAGE SALE is in action here at CITIFRONT LODGE, RD BLDG. PIONEER AVE. (fronting BDO, Pioneer) GEN. SANTOS CITY. I’ve been doing my GARAGE SALE ever since May. I gathered all my cloths as well as my families and put it in the vacant space of our building. Proceeds of my GARAGE SALE all goes to the schooling of my housemaid’s four kids. An Update: I already sent the four of them to school last June complete with uniforms and school supplies, thanks to my buyers.

My high school classmates decided to gather their pre-loved BRANDED CLOTHS and join in my  GARAGE SALE. It’s also funny because we are checking out each others collections and resulted to exchange buying.
